Summary:
The role of the Director, Quality Assurance is to direct all aspects of quality, and be responsible for establishing policies and procedures to ensure that the company?s quality efforts meet or exceed customer's needs and expectations while maintaining strict measurements and controls over the quality of the company?s solutions.

It provides policy administration solutions that include professional services as well as the company?s premier Web-centric product suite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
???Manage the Software Testing and Quality Assurance (QA) staff and evaluate and determine appropriate staff size and structure.
???Influence the Software Engineering Process Metrics and software build process (Configuration Management) to ensure efficiency and accuracy of the output software.
???Interact with the workflow process to reinforce timely and efficient use of company resources within and outside of the QA staff.
???Develop, implement and manage software quality assurance processes and procedures for all products.
???Work with project team to manage and prioritize software bugs.
???Work closely with engineering managers, project managers, product managers, and production support to deliver a quality release per client commitment and within agreed upon timeline.
???Work with key stakeholders/groups to set product testing priorities.
???Create and execute plan for automating QA efforts, including automated test passes, bug verification, and test environment configuration.
???Establishes and communicates scheduled reporting of metrics to appropriate parties.
???Coordinate the development and maintenance of a testing infrastructure.
???Identify and critically evaluate opportunities to leverage third-party resources (tools, consultants, contractors) and justify the need for such resources to management.
???Cooperates with other senior management personnel to formulate, establish and maintain company policies, team building, procedures, objectives and goals.
???Conduct meetings to coordinate processes and procedures both internal to QA and between departments.
???Participate in design and code reviews for development tasks internal to QA.
???Develop, maintain and evolve QA staffing requirements.
???Interview, hire and train employees.
???Conduct project meetings to establish and review QA plans, to coordinate processes and procedures between departments, and to establish responsibilities and plans for attaining objectives

Qualifications
???Candidate will have experience in testing applications for multiple platforms that are integrated with third party applications.
???8 or more years of QA experience and 5 or more years, supervisory experience in a software products environment.
???BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Quality Engineering or related discipline required.
???Experience setting up .NET and database test environments and applications, automated functional testing tools experience, development experience, scripting languages and software development life cycle and skilled with in-depth understanding of software QA process.
???Additional experience required in implementing Software QA Process standards, product QA experience, managing SQA teams and resource plans.

Solid experience required in the area of SQA tools including TestDirector, Winrunner, Loadrunner, Silk etc. Additional knowledge / experience needed with automated load / performance testing tool experience (Load Runner or Rational Load Test), HTML, 2000, XP, 2003, Oracle, DB2 and SQL, working with bug tracking systems (PVCS Tracker, TeamTrack, TestTrack, etc.)
